All Moscow Welcomes North Pole Fliers - Return In Triumph. Photo Shows: The North Pole fliers driving along Gorky Street under a storm of torn paper as Moscow gave them a welcome comparable only to Lindbergh's return to New Yerk. The whole of Moscow, from Stalin downwards, turned out to give a terrific welcome home to Professor Otto Schmidt and other members of the Soviet North Pole expedition on their return to Moscow after leaving a party of scientists on a Polar ice floe.
