Illegible But Valuable-- Several centuries later, the signature of Guy Fawkes attests to the treatment he went through after the discovery of the "Gunpowder Plot" in 1606. Above it is a statement in which Fawkes admitted his part in the plot to blow up the Parliament, Following the discovery of the conspiracy.
