Bow Sheared Off By Suicide Attacks -- Twisted and jagged steel was all that was left of the bow and forward hull section of the USS Lindsey, after ship was hit by twin suicide plane attacks while operating near Mae Shima off Okinawa. Explosion of forward Magazine added to the destruction that did everything but send the courageous vessel to the bottom.
