Giant Telescope For Festival -- The 20-ton polar axis of the 74-inch reflector telescope is lowered into its bearings as the festival done of discovery today, Jan.22. The telescope is destined for Government observatory at Mount Stromo, near Canberra, Australia. It is one of the six largest in the world. No such instrument has ever been on the show at a public exhibition before. Designed and made by British Craftsmen it is being lent for the festival by the Australian government. January 22, 19
