Patient taking a tablet of the covid-19 drug Paxlovid. This is a combination of two drugs, nirmatrelvir (PF-07321332, tablet seen here) and ritonavir. One dose consists of two nirmatrelvir tablets and one ritonavir tablet. Nirmatrelvir is a protease inhibitor that acts on the 3C-like protease, also known as main protease, of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the cause of covid-19.
