Mexican painter Diego Rivera (1886-1957) painting the bacteriological detail of his 1934 fresco Man at the Crossroads. The fresco was installed at the Rockerfeller Center, New York, USA. However, it was later destroyed because Rivera refused to remove a painting of Lenin from the mural when asked to do so by the Rockerfellers.
