Light grey-brown pottery with aubergine purple glaze. Decorated in turquoise blue crackle glaze with design of two lion dogs (shishi) among clouds with coin, and four patterned bands. Outlines and details are in slight relief. Made near Wakayama and known as Oniwayaki. Materials: Ceramic. Place: Kil Province, Japan.
