The defensive wall between Jerusalem and Palestine which was built by Israel as a security barrier against terrorism, though Palestinians view it as a segregation wall. Although the idea of a barrier dates back to the early 1990s, a 74km section of the wall was approved in 2000 and it is now more than 700km long.
