He is renowned for his use of polychromy. Butterfield?s design of Keble College was radically different from the existing traditional University architecture, featuring geometric patterns in varying colours of brick. This architectural drawing shows sections through Block 3, at various points along the building. There are also several plans, sections and elevations of details such as chimneys and ceilings.
