5052786 Portion of front of \'The Schooner\', Douglas, Isle of Man, 1929 (b/w photo) by Frowde, John James (1868-1946); Manx National Heritage (Isle of Man); (add.info.: On the back of this photograph John James Frowde writes, "Portion of Front of \'The Schooner\' Hanover St. (Four windows on the two upper floors) Note the \'mounting block\' for equestrians on left of steps. The Brig was next door W. of this. \'The Schooner\' had four front windows on the upper floors; the \'Brig\', five. This was taken down prior to the Hanover Street School\'s being built on the site - circa 1884-6 (opened 1888). In a photo panorama view I have (1860) the upper part of the Brig, with its five windows on the two upper floors is clearly seen. And I remember the \'big parlour\', for I was once in it with the \'Red Fern\'s\' group (Isaac Shimmin, Gillie Kennaugh, Willie Kaneen et alia)."); by Manx National Heritage .
