Hiberno-Scandinavian/Hiberno-Manx transitional group. Struck from a Dublin obverse die which at some point in its life was transferred to the Isle of Man and used with locally-made reverses. The hoard dates to around 1030 AD and is evidence of the Island??? importance as a trade route in Norse times.
