Generals Konstantin Smirnov and Alexander Fok fought a duel in 1908 after Smirnov accused Fok and General Anatoly Stessel of cowardice and dereliction of duty at the Siege of Port Arthur in 1904-1905 during the Russo-Japanese War. Smirnov also testified against them at their court martial. Fok subsequently challenged Smirnvo to the duel, wounding him in the stomach. Les Generaux Russes Se Battent En Duel.
