The Lacinato kale are back in the garden after more than half a century of neglect. They are cultivated more for their decorative foliage than for their culinary interest. It is true that they grow without any fuss and they offer their beautiful foliage all winter long, unless an episode of intense cold comes along. Nevertheless, they are no less edible, especially after the first frosts that soften them. They are then eaten after being picked leaf by leaf, simply pan-fried or woked for Korean food lovers.
