Over the edge of the table hangs a map showing part of the Indonesian archipelago with the words: \'Map of the State of Bantam, Batavia and Cheribon\', referring to the the Dutch East Indies (Indonesia). This portrait once hung in Buitenzorg, the palace of the governor-general of the Dutch East Indies on Java.).
