CHEOPS exoplanet-observing satellite launch installation. CHEOPS is the European Space Agency (ESA)'s CHaracterising ExOPlanet Satellite. Here, it is being installed on the flight adapter ring that will serve as interface with the launcher vehicle at Europe's Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana. The satellite was launched from the spaceport on 18 December 2019. It will spend around 4 years studying transiting exoplanets orbiting bright and nearby stars. Photographed on 28 November 2019.
