473957 Royal Jubilee School (ink & w/c on paper) by Dobson, John (1787-1865); 54.0x43.4 cm; Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK; (add.info.: The Royal Jubilee School, on City Road near the Keelman\'s Hospital, was Dobson\'s first recorded building. It would have impressed future local patrons with his architectural talents. The building was designed in the plain Greek Revival style, with the appearance of a classical temple. Unfortunately, due to lack of funds, the portico was not built and the school was demolished in 1884. ); 穢 Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums; British, out of copyright.
