Bushman rock paintings, at Kagga Kamma Reserve, South Africa. March 29, 2009. The Bushman rock paintings, dating back to thousands of years ago, are one of South Africa greatest cultural treasures. Some 20, 000 individual rock paintings have been recorded at 500 different cave and overhang sites. The paintings range from animals (mainly elands) to humans, therianthropes to ox-wagons and mounted men with weapons. The Kagga Kamma Private Game Reserve, lying in an untouched wilderness, south of Cederberg mountains, has hundreds of Bushman rock paintings up to 6000 years old and is a unique safari in South Africa.
