The spacecraft would search for signs of life hidden in Enceladus's oceans. To search for life, the Orbilander would be equipped with instruments including mass spectrometers, microscope and a DNA sequencer. If the Enceladus Orbilander mission was selected for development by NASA, it would launch in 2038 and reach Enceladus until at least 2050.
