Light micrograph section through human epididymis tissue showing epididymal tuberculosis. This is a rare extrapulmonary form of tuberculosis that occurs in young adults. People with this disease may have no obvious clinical symptoms or only mild symptoms. The pathological features of epididymal tuberculosis are extensive tissue destruction and fibrosis, eventually leading to destruction of the epididymis and surrounding genital tissues and organs.
