Anti-snoring devices. In the background at left is a mouthpiece, which prevents the tongue from dropping to the back of the throat during sleep, therefore maintaining an open airway preventing snoring. In the foreground at left are nasal dilators, which sit inside the nasal passages and hold them open, maintaining airflow. At right is a tongue retainer, which uses suction to hold the tongue in a forward position to maintain an open airway. These devices may work for some people, depending upon the underlying cause of the snoring.
