Intraparenchymal haemorrhage. Coloured computed tomography (CT) scan of a section through the head showing an accumulation of blood from internal bleeding (haemorrhage, green mass). The bleeding is within the nervous tissue (parenchyma) of the brain and so is known as an intraparenchymal haemorrhage. Craniotomy surgery may be performed to remove blood from the haemorrhage and medication may be prescribed to reduce swelling.
