Arno Breker, German sculptor, working on a bust of Gerhart Hauptmann, 26 October 1942. Breker's was popular with several leading Nazis and Hitler in particular. He undertook numerous commissions for the regime. In 1942 he exhibited a show of his work in occupied Paris. Hauptmann was a German dramatist who won the Nobel Prize for literature in 1912. The photographer is unknown.
