Man being injected with the Pfizer-BioNTech BNT162b2 Covid-19 vaccine. The vaccine protects against infection with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus that is the cause of Covid-19. Two shots of the vaccine are needed, at least 21 days apart to confer full immunity. The vaccine was approved in the UK on 2nd December 2020.
