Thymus cortex, light micrograph. The thymic parenchyma shows abundant small dark nuclei of immature T lymphocytes, large pale nuclei of epithelial cells and scarce clear cells with granular content (macrophages). Semithin resin section 0.5 micrometres thick stained with toluidine blue.
