Fossil of Dapalis macrurus, an extinct species of fish belonging to the class of Actinopterygii or ray-finned fish, a subclass of the bony fishes. It is known from Oligocene and Miocene deposits in western Europe. This fossil is from Oligocene limestone near Cereste in the French Haute Alpes. Actual length of fossil is 100 mm.
