Pyroxmangite, general chemical formula MnSiO3, is the rare, high-pressure, low-temperature polymorph of the mineral rhodonite. Colour is brownish to pinkish red its appearance massive or blocky and almost identical to Rhodonite. Only complex examination can distinguish the two minerals. It is classed in the pyroxene mineral group, where it is known as the manganese member. Actual width is 100 mm, provenance of specimen unknown.
