Construction of an emergency field hospital at the TCF convention center, Detroit, Michigan USA, during the 2019-20 coronavirus outbreak. The 1,000-bed hospital will care for those that have contracted the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, which causes a respiratory infection (Covid-19) that can lead to fatal pneumonia. As of early April 2020, over 1.1 million have been infected worldwide with over 62,000 deaths. Social restrictions and infection control measures have been put in place to slow the spread of the virus and ease the burden on healthcare systems. Photographed on 2 April 2020.
