Glycogenic acanthosis. Endoscopic images of lesions in the oesophagus (gullet) of a patient affected by glycogenic acanthosis. Glycogenic acanthosis are small raised white plaques commonly seen in the mucosal lining of the oesophagus. Mild glycogenic acanthosis is a normal finding, and does not progress to esophageal cancer or to stricture (narrowing).
