Light from a red laser pointer diffracted around a small steel ball producing light where shadow should appear. This phenomenon was used to prove that light behaves as a wave. The red light from the laser saturates the red and green photosites outside of the shadow area, which is perceived as yellow. Image captured directly by the camera sensor without a camera lens.
