The new heraldic shield of the noble Italian Frescobaldi family was designed by Florence based design agency Doni & Associates; in 2018; for the new acquired winery Tenuta Perano in the Chianti Classico area. It shows a crowned griphon and lion like animal and shows as well the historic coat of arms which is in style of the historic Guelphs faction in Tuscany; who supported the Imperial poilitical party and the Holy Roman Emperor. The upper part is golden; the lower part shows three silver coloured roche (chess towers) on red ground. It shows as well a new inscription: "Spera in Deo" (Hope in God). The Frescobaldi family; originally based in the Oltrarno area of Florence; since 700 years is running the businesses in Tuscany. The Marchesi Frescobaldi group; today sells more than 11 million bottles of wine per year with an annual turnover of more than 100 million Euro. 500 people work in the company. The 62 hectars of Tenuta Perano were rented in 2014 by Marchese Lamberto Frescobaldi and went into possession of the group; in 2017; as result of an auction. Price was 13;3 million Euro. The estate was bought without the Castello di San Donato in Perano; which dates bsck to 10th century and was in possession of the Strozzi family; from 16th century until 1967. Actually; nobody is living in the castle; but people stay permanently in the buildings around. The vineyards in altitude of 500 m above sea level deliver excellent red wines; created by the chief oenologist of Marchesi Frescobaldi group; Dr. Nicol?D`Afflitto.
