Great Britain (United Kingdom); Northern Ireland; Islandmagee: part of Gobbins Cliff Path. Islandmagee and its village Whitehead became a favorite holiday destination; around 1900. Landscape and history of the peninsula were famous due to Jonathan Swift; who here got inspiration for his giants and dwarfs in "Gulliver`s Travels" (Gullivers Reisen). Since 1909; people came also to the nearby Gobbins: cliffs; going down up to 60 m to the Irish Sea. Here; an engineer calles Wise had built since 1902 a touristic railway along the cliffs. With help from EU; the old Railway route now has become the Gobbins Cliff Path. There is as well a new Visitor Centre at Middle Road of Islandmagee; where guided tours start. Access point is a nearby place called "Wise`s Eye".
