In novel Ulysses; one may read:" Mr Bloom raised a cake to his nostrils. Sweet lemony wax. - I'll take this one; he said." Sweny is the place; where Leopold Bloom buys lemon soap. The pharmacy started in 1847 as a GP's consulting room; became an apothecary and later on; a pharmacy. Today; volunteers try to presere the shop as it was in Joyce's time. On may find second-hand books and daily readings of works of James Joyce in seveal languages. As well; the famous lemon-scented soap can be bought. Latest attractions are lunchtime Joycean Cabaret and once a year the "Dead Dinner".
