Abdullah (also: Abdulla) 謈alan; nicknamed also "Apo"; was born on 4th of April; 1949; in 謒erli; Sanliurfa; Turkey. He is leader of the PKK (Kurdistan Worker Party) which is recognized in the USA; in the EU and in Turkey as a terrorist organization. 謈alan leaded PKK from its start in 1978 until its re-naming; in 2002. In 1999; imprisoned 謈alan faced death penalty in Turkey. In 2002; the death penalty was changed into life long prison. The newly established following organiaztion of PKK; the KCK; has 謈alan again as a leader. He is named by his followers "serok" (leader).
