Great Britain; Northern Ireland; Belfast: Detail of mural "Unite the UNION" at Transport House; The Transport House (German: Gewerkschaftshaus) at corner High Street and Victoria Street was built in 1959 by architect and designer JJ Brennan n the International style for the Transport and General Workers Union and was used as its Belfast headquarter. On this mural detail; approximately realized in 2015; it shows on the right the image of a female welder (German: Schwei遝rin); the original green tile squares of the historic building an a string of workers on the left. Jim Larkin founded after the Belfast lockout the Irish Transport & General Workers Union; in 1909. The separate Transport & General Workers Union; based in London; was founded; in 1922. Son after; Larkins union joint it. In 2007; the T&G merged with Amicus to form the current Unite - The Union.
