The Spotted Tussock Moth (Lophocampa maculata) is a member of the family Erebidae. The larvae feed on leaves of alder, willow and other hardwoods. It is found across Canada, the western parts of the United States, and south in the Appalachian Mountains to South Carolina and Kentucky.
