When he was visiting Vrindavana; Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu daily chanted japa at Imli Tala (tamarind tree); which was located at that time right on the bank of the Yamuna. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu (1486?1534) was a Vaishnava saint and social reformer in eastern India in the 16th century; worshipped by followers of Gaudiya Vaishnavism as the full incarnation of Lord Krishna. He is carrying a cloth bag used by Krishna devotees for storing chanting beads. Vrindavan; India.
