The war museum is on southern most point of Sorve peninsula; at the Cape of S滗re (German: Kap Zerell); where the German imbarking to nearby Kurland mainland took place. From 1945 to 1991; the peninsula was military area of Soviet Army (Red Army). here missiles were installed to reach in case of war Western NATO grounds.
