Until the early 2000's expansion of Beijing's CBD; Hujialou was an area of industry and low-tech enterprises. With its location within the centre of Chaoyang District; where the city's new CBD was to rise; the area has seen rapid change.While many apartment buildings remain from the earlier industrial era; a new skyline of futuristic architecture and high-rise has gone up since the mid-2000's.This image included the 2012 completed CCTV Headquarters and 530 metre China Zun (now completed 2019).
