'Jean Racine', (1933). Portrait of French poet and dramatist Jean Racine (1639-1699), one of the big three of 17th century France (along with Moli?re and Corneille). Racine was primarily a tragedian, though he did write one comedy. After a painting by Nicolas de Largilliere.
