'Johannes Kepler', (1933). Portrait of German astronomer Johannes Kepler (1571-1630). Kepler went to Prague in 1600 to assist Tycho Brahe. On Tycho's death the following year, Kepler succeeded him as court astronomer to Rudolph II.
