'Moritz Von Oranien', (1933). Portrait of Maurice of Nassau (1567-1625), who became stadtholder of Holland and Zeeland in 1585 after the murder of his father. He took over the military leadership of the revolt of the Dutch provinces against Spain, securing several notable successes.
