Andrea Calvi (b.1590), 1636. Andrea Calvi, was forty-two when he sat for his portrait. He wears a fashionable lace collar and cuff, and holds a letter addressed to himself. Nothing is known about him except that he was the father of Andrea Calvi (1627-79) a distinguished lawyer and priest.
