'Sir Malcolm Campbell's Bid for a New Record', 1935. Malcolm Campbell (1885-1948) being photographed at Brooklands in Surrey following Bluebird's rebuild, and prior to going to Daytona Beach in Florida, USA. On 7 March, he set up a new record, of 276.816 mph in the rebuilt Bluebird which was fitted with a 2,500 horse power Rolls-Royce Schneider engine.
