A barge carrying sand from a dredging exercise carries its load up the Mekong river near Can Tho, Vietnam. The Mekong Delta is the most important area for agriculture and aquaculture production in Vietnam. Soil erosion is a constant concern in an area which receives alot of rain in its catchment areas.
