Fin whales (Balaenoptera physalus) exhaling through their blow-holes. Whales dive to feed, coming to the surface for air. Fin whales can grow up to 27 metres in length and weigh 70 tonnes. They are filter-feeders, feeding on small fish, squid, and crustaceans. Dive times are normally 10 to 15 minutes, and the blowhole spout can reach heights of 6 metres. Photographed in the Gulf of California.
