The thick-billed murre or Brunnich's guillemot (Uria lomvia) is a bird in the auk family (Alcidae). This coastal sea-bird is native to northern latitudes of Europe, Asia and North America. It feeds mainly on fish and breeds in large colonies on cliff-sides. Photographed in Spitsbergen, Norway in July.
