'God save great George our King', c1820. Satirical cartoon; a man wearing a duke's coronet and horns (representing cuckolding) supports George IV in return for a dukedom. In the background is Windsor Cottage, a reference to the royal residence of Windsor Castle. The couple possibly represent Queen Caroline and a lover. From an album containing portraits and satirical caricatures related to the trial of Queen Caroline (1768-1821, also known as Caroline of Brunswick, consort of King George IV) in 1820.
