Egyptian tomb scene, illustration. This is the North Side of the West Wall of Nakht's Offering Chapel. It dates from the New Kingdom (Dynasty 18), from the later reign of Amenhotep II to the mid-reign of Amenhotep III, in around 1410-1370 BC. This tomb is in Thebes, Upper Egypt. Scenes shown here include hunting and farming and picking of grapes and other crops, with offerings made of harvested food, fish and waterfowl and other birds. This illustration (tempera on paper) was produced between 1908 and 1914 by a group of Egyptologists including Norman de Garis Davies (1865-1941) on an expedition for the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
