A front view of the l-album wainscot (Mythimna l-album) resting on a branch in a garden habitat. The flight period is July and again in September and October with a double brood each year. This species is a member of the noctuidae family and is found throughout Europe though only in southern counties in the UK. The larval food plants are grasses.
