Sir Richard Leveson, c1600, (1947). Portrait of English navy officer, politician and landowner Sir Richard Leveson (c1570-1605). Leveson was knighted for his successes during the Cadiz expedition in 1596, and was appointed Vice-Admiral of England by James I in 1604, the year before he died.
